Your EMS Credentials

Tick the licenses you hold and fill in their details. You only need to complete the sections you tick. Your NEMS ID is required so CAPCE can report your credit.

NEMS ID

Your NEMS ID is the 12 digit number issued by the National EMS Registry, in the format 9999-9999-9999.

A National EMS ID (NEMS ID) is a permanent, unique 12-digit number issued by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) to track a provider’s certifications and licenses and connect their continuing education records. The NEMS ID is a master account number for a provider’s records and the provider’s individual certification numbers are linked to the NEMS ID. A NEMS ID does not change or expire. CAPCE uses the NEMS ID to associate continuing education credits for a course to the provider who earned the credits and list those credits on the provider’s transcript. The Responder Safety Learning Network collects NEMS ID because it is a CAPCE reporting requirement so the modules a provider takes on RSLN are properly recorded with CAPCE to confer credit.

If you have an existing NREMT account, your NEMS ID was automatically generated when NEMS ID was launched. To find your NEMS ID, log into your provider account at NREMT, go to your Profile, and look for EMS ID.

If you do not have a NREMT account, create one for free at NREMT.org. You do not have to have an active NREMT certification to create an account. Student and entry profiles receive a NEMS ID automatically when they register for an NREMT account.

I understand that the Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firefighters Association Emergency Responder Safety Institute as a requirement of CAPCE accreditation will submit a record of my course completions to the CAPCE AMS. I further understand that my course completion records may be accessed by or shared with such regulators as state EMS offices, training officers, and NREMT on a password-protected need-to-know basis. In addition, I understand that I may review my record of CAPCE accredited course completions by contacting CAPCE.
